Silver Medallion

BASIC BLACK, SILVER AND WHISPER WHITE are the colors here.  The big MEDALLION BACKGROUND stamp is used on the background.  It is stamped with the VERSAMARK INK PAD and then put SILVER EMBOSSING POWDER on it.  What a fun stamp, huh?

The big LACE BORDER PUNCH is used with the BLACK cardstock to run along the left side of the card.  But now the extras...the 1/8" black ribbon is running on top of that punch...plus the insides of the punch are used in the silver.  How awesome is that?  Thanks to Peg for designing this card!

Don't forget to mention the RHINESTONES added in all the right places.

The saying is stamped on WHITE and then layered on the SILVER and BLACK.  I love how all of our punches coordinate in so many ways!

Wedding Idea For You

Yesterday I shared a wedding idea....and thought that I will share one more right away.  Time to get some great ideas for all those weddings that will be happening this spring and summer :)

This gorgeous card is made by one of my very own downline girls...Dianna Richards.  Thanks girl!  The colors are BLUSHING BRIDE (how appropriate), WHISPER WHITE and EARLY EXPRESSO.  The stamp set is LOVE & LAUGHTER.

Notice the FINIAL PRESS EMBOSSING FOLDER that is used on the bottom of the card.  Also...can you guess how that big SCALLOP EDGE is made?  It is from the TASTEFUL TRIM BIGZ DIE and the Big Shot.

The sweet HEARTS are made with the FASHIONABLEHEARTS EMBOSSLITS DIE.  The ribbon is the new PLEATED RIBBON...very fun to work with.

Love & Laughter

Need an idea for a wedding card?  Here is a winner:

Why not do a square card for something different.  I think the square cards are awesome!!  This sample came from Candy Michael.  The colors are very neutral and would work for many occasions.  They are CRUMB CAKE, VERY VANILLA, CHERRY COBBLER and EARLY EXPRESSO. 

Cut a big circle from the center using the 3" CIRCLE DIE and the BIG SHOT.  The saying is layered using the WORD WINDOW PUNCH and the MODERN LABEL PUNCH.  Two tiny pearls are added to the ends of the saying.  Also...a pearl added on the heart.  That heart is the SMALL HEART PUNCH.

The stamp set is called LOVE & LAUGHTER.  (It is found on page 29 of the Occasions Mini Catalog).

There are 8 stamps in the set.

Beautiful isn't it?  Thanks to Wendy for sharing.  This is so elegant & crisp.

 

The sentiment is from the CURLY CUTE stamp set.  The white ribbon is the 5/8" ORGANZA RIBBON. 

The embossing folder is ELEGANT BOUQUET.  You run the cardstock through the BIG SHOT and get that flower texture.  The birds have the polka dots...and those are made with the PERFECT POLKA DOTS embossing folder.

Other punches used:  1 1/4" SQUARE PUNCH, 1 3/8" SQUARE PUNCH, HEART TO HEART PUNCH.

Happy "I Do" Day!

I think the sentiment "Happy I Do Day" sums it up.....isn't that one of the happiest days of your life?

I saw a similar card at Leadership and wanted to make it.  Here it is...

 

The colors are SAHARA SAND, BASIC BLACK and WHISPER WHITE.  It is a great classic card that can be adapted for any occasion!  The FINIAL PRESS EMBOSSING FOLDER is used on the white layer. That really gives it a great look.  Do you see the sparkle on the ring?....that is a rhinestone placed just right.  I used white ribbon to tie around the card and then just a scrap piece of 1/8" black ribbon to add into the knot.

 
The saying is from the stamp set WORD PLAY...it is full of lots of great sentiments!

 

So...how many years have you been married?  We have hit the 17 year mark.  In June it will be 18 for us :)

Here Comes The Bride...

What a fantastic idea for a wedding card!  Use the FULL HEART punch to accent the bride and the groom.  This works so slick!

More Cards To Share...

Just a few more cards to share with you.  These are swaps I received in the mail.

The textured background is made with an embossing folder...then sponge some ink on it.  Great technique to try!  The designer paper looks like newsprint...great new addition to the catalog!  Yummy!  I want to try and make some jewelry inserts for my necklace with that paper.

A delicate card for the bride.  This card also has a texture with an embossing folder.  When you do it white on white it is more subtle.  Notice the bead on the dress.  We now have a full sheet of half pearls and half rhinestones for your projects.  They already have adhesive on them - yeah!!

Weddings in June

Happy Anniversary to my dear husband!  It is 18 years today!!!  Boy what a great ride it has been.  I look forward to many more years of being with you!!
