Summer Starfruit is the "IT" Color!

This card features products that are FREE during Sale-a-bration!  Gotta love free!

Thanks to Leanne Livingstone for giving me this card.  The designer paper is called SYCAMORE STREET.  It has 12 sheets of fun designs.  The colors used in this packet compliment the IN-COLORS.  

SUMMER STARFRUIT is the "yellowish-greenish" color that is used on the top part of the sample.  It really is a fun new "it" color.  Here is uses the HONEYCOMB EMBOSSING FOLDER on it to really make it pop!  

The WINDOW FRAMES FRAMELIT COLLECTION is where the fun shape comes from for the cupcake border.  This set of framelits has 6 different sizes.  I really love how the square piece inside makes it fit so perfectly together.  The button and ribbon are FREE choices for sale-a-bration too!

The cupcake stamp is from PATTERNED OCCASIONS stamp set.  Yet another FREE item!

Now for a few more photos from our trip.  One day we went snorkeling on Sousa Beach.  The water was soooooooooooo clear!  I could see to the bottom at all times!  One highlight for me was to swim so close to a reef.  The coral was unbelievable.

The next sample uses the FRESH VINTAGE stamp set.  The technique used on this card is the "ROCK AND ROLL".  Stamp in a lighter color and then roll it on the edges of another ink pad.  For this sample you get the POOL PARTY color on the inside of the flower image and the LUCKY LIMEADE color on the outside edges.

Elements of Style meets Elementary Elegance

How about a yummy for this card?  Thanks to Peg for sharing her talents on this one.  CRUMB CAKE and BASIC BLACK are the main colors and then add in a little VERY VANILLA.

The stamp set at the bottom of the card is ELEMENTS OF STYLE (p. 134 available in clear or wood).  It is a great set to use as the focal point or as it is here as a background.  The LACE RIBBON BORDER PUNCH #122362 is used going across the middle of the card.  You can make this punch go on and on and on....great to create a border.

The butterflies are made by using the BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES EMBOSSLIT.  They are textured and cut out for you as you run it through the BIG SHOT.  Then add the PEARLS #119247 on top of the butterflies.

The stamp set on the VERY VANILLA is ELEMENTARY ELEGANCE.  It is one of the FREE items during SALE-A-BRATION.  It is available in wood or clear.  Spend $50 and pick a free item.  The CURLY LABEL PUNCH #119851 is used to punch out the saying.

Happy President's Day

Here are some random samples to share with you today.

This sample is from Susie Wood.  The colors are a great combination:  POOL PARTY, LUCKY LIMEADE and SO SAFFRON.  The new BLOSSOM PUNCH words great with the MIXED BLOSSOM stamp set.  Lots of fun combinations to get from that.  The HALF-PEARL in the center of the flower is a new item also.  If you don't have the OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG just let me know.

This sample is from Cathy Workowski.  The colors are taken from the EVERYDAY ENCHANTMENT DESIGNER PAPER.  If you are ever stuck for inspiration...look at some paper that is already decorated with a variety of colors.  Copy it!!!  The colors here are LUCKY LIMEADE, CALYPSO CORAL, PEAR PIZZAZZ and POOL PARTY. 

The POSTAGE STAMP PUNCH is used on the saying.  The ribbon is a free item during SALE-A-BRATION (as is the paper...and the stamp set used).  I guess the majority of the products on this card are FREE items!  whoohoo!

Sprinkled Expressions is a free item!

This card features lots of new products.  The stamp set is SPRINKLED EXPRESSIONS.  It is a FREE item during SALE-A-BRATION.  Spend $50 and pick a FREE item!  You can get the stamp set in clear or wood.

The designer paper is also a FREE item.  It is called EVERYDAY EXPRESSIONS.  Lots of fun color combinations in this packet.

The top of the card features a new item called ADORNING ACCENTS EMBOSSING FOLDER.  There are 3 small embossing folders that come in this package.  Thanks to Donna for making this sample! 

Oops...a little blurry...but I think you will get the idea!

Love the layout here with the big circle (just place it on your project and then cut off the straight edges). 

The big STAR PUNCH has a smaller star layered on top of it.  And take note how she scrunched the ribbon...to do this...just put down a strip of ADHESVIE, then scrunch and press your ribbon in place.

Elementary Elegance FREE Product

Here is another sample using a FREE stamp set. The set has 7 stamps in it (5 are images and 2 are sayings).  Thanks to Barb Mullikin for making this sample. 

POOL PARTY and CALYPSO CORAL are the 2 main colors used here.  The fun thing about the big frame stamp....is that there is a CURLY LABEL PUNCH that coordinates with it.  It just makes everything easier to work with when things coordinate.

RUFFLED RIBBON is used across the card and a very tiny piece of the 1/8" Organdy Ribbon (which is another FREE item).  The designer paper is called EVERY ENCHANTMENT (also FREE).  The very bottom edge of the card uses the ADORNING ACCENTS EDGELITS (p. 7 of the Occasions Mini).

Fresh Vintage FREE Stamp Set

Sale-a-Bration is here...and that means FREE product from Stampin' Up! 

This card uses the new set called FRESH VINTAGE.  It is one of the choices for FREE product during Sale-a-bration.  There are 5 stamps in the set.  Carla Bosselaar made this project - thank you!  In order to get all the color on the floral stamp, you need to use your markers.  Color on the stamp itself and then "huff" on the stamp to re-moisten the ink...then stamp on your cardstock.

Notice the sponging technique used on the edges of the circle.  The paper in the background is from a pack of paper that you can also get for FREE.  The paper pack is called EVERYDAY ENCHANTMENT.  It features these colors:  LUCKY LIMEADE, POOL PARTY, CALYPSO CORAL, PEACH PARFAIT, POPPY PARADE, VERY VANILLA AND SOFT SUEDE.

Check out the new PLEATED RIBBON used on this card...love that stuff!  It is a great look without having to take the time to fuss with it.  The saying is from the TEENY TINY WISHES STAMP SET,

Sneak Peek
