Up, Up & Away

Have you ever wanted to go in a hot air balloon?  That is on my list of "things to do..."

This stamp set is called UP, UP & AWAY.  It is on page 63.  There are 14 stamps in this set.  The paper background is from the paper pack called BIG TOP BIRTHDAY.  There are a bunch of things that coordinate with these colors and shapes.  Check it out on page 62.

The colors are REAL RED and TEMPTING TURQUOISE.  The balloons, tail and basket are all stamped on scrap cardstock and then cut out with that awesome scissors called the PAPER SNIPS.  If you don't have a great little scissors to do all of this detailed cutting you are missing out.  They are so helpful when cutting all these little things.

Baby Card with the Stocking Stamp/Punch

Want to see something super clever?  I love it when people come up with another way to use a product....thanks to whomever started this idea!  I can't think of them...but I can copy them.

The pony is made from the STITCHED STOCKINGS stamp set (p. 34 in the Holiday Mini Catalog) and punched out with the STOCKING BUILDER PUNCH (p. 34).  Is this stinkin' cute or what???

Wouldn't you love to give this card to a new family?  So sweet!  Use the 3/8" TAFFETA RIBBON for the mane.  Just scrunch it up and attach it to the back of the head.  It turns out a little different each time.  Use the 1/8" TAFFETA RIBBON for the horse bridle.

Christmas by Wendy

Here is a clever Christmas idea from Wendy.  She is also a stamper in the group ALL SCHUCH UP!

Is this Rudolph?  You can make a reindeer from the OWL PUNCH.  (Who thinks of this stuff??)  Punch the owl out and cut off the little feet.  The antlers are from the SNOWFLAKE PUNCH.  Add some circles for the eyes and nose and you have a great looking Rudolph!

Behind Rudolph you have the 1 3/4" CIRCLE PUNCH and the 2 3/8" SCALLOP CIRCLE PUNCH.  The saying uses the WORD WINDOW PUNCH and the MODERN LABEL PUNCH.  I guess you can say that this project uses a lot of punches!

Fun Squash Card Idea

This idea has been around for years...but I forgot all about it.  It is called the squash fold.

 

The stamp set is FABULOUS FLORETS and the paper is BEYOND THE GARDEN.

Make your score marks in the middle both horizontal and diagonal.  Score 1 diagonal.

Pinwheels on the Cruise

 

This is one of the projects we got to make on the cruise.  See the crimped cardstock?  I have forgotten about that fun tool...need to get that one out of the drawer! 

The set is called SWEETS FOR THE SWEET.  We used new in-colors:  POOL PARTY, LUCKY LIMEADE, CALYPSO CORAL, ISLAND INDIGO and WISTERIA WONDER.

To make the pinwheel we stamped the pinwheel twice on scrap cardstock and cut it out.  Then attach the two together with a brad and attach to the project with a STAMPIN' DIMENSIONAL.

A Few More Ideas From Leadership

Time to share a few more ideas from the Leadership Conference displays.  It is always amazing to see how they continually out-do themselves on the staging, the displays and everything each time they host a convention/conference.  Take a look at the simple photo frames that they took, added some paint, some chicken wire and now have a really cool display!

I don't know who dreams up these things, but they sure are a lot more creative than I am!  Can you just see one of these frames painted in the color that you need for a room in your house and then it can hold a bunch of photos, cards, homework pages, etc.

 

This card caught my eye...I think it is the color combination that I loved so much.  It is SOFT SUEDE, VERY VANILLA with a touch of CHERRY COBBLER.

 

And one more fantastic display....an awesome bookmark made from the TWO TAGS die and the BIG SHOT.

Eat Chocolate

Happy Valentine's Day!  Isn't this the day that Americans consume a lot of chocolate?  I would guess that other countries join us in feasting on chocolate today!

So how about a big chocolate bar card?  This is made using the CRIMPER and the EARLY EXPRESSO CARDSTOCK.  The RED GLITTER really helps with some attention on this project.  You get 2 pieces of red glitter paper (12 x 12 size) for $3.95.  The stamp is from a great little set called EAT CHOCOLATE.

 

 

I know that today is a big chocolate day....but isn't that so for many days throughout the year?  :)
