Decor Blocks

Here is a fun project that you can make for a Holiday Decoration...

You have your choice of the letters...they come in a package of red, chocolate, black or white.

This is what the package looks like.  The letters can spell JOY, SNOW, NOEL, plus there are other decorations.  $9.95 for the package

These are the BLOCKS that are available.  There are 4 blocks in the package.  They are smooth, natural 3" wood blocks.  No sanding is necessary.  You can paint them or use them as it.  $9.95 for the 4 blocks

Petals-A-Plenty Impressions Folder

This is a great MAGIC trick!  You take one of the Embossing folders (otherwise known as Impressions folders) and you cut a hole in it.  Because of the hole...you get the embossing on the outside edge and a flat piece in the center.  Read below for more detail...

Here is the PETALS-A-PLENTY Textured Impressions Folder.  It is $7.95 in the Holiday Mini catalog (item #116824)

I traced an oval shape on it with my marker.  Then cut it out with an exacto knife.

Now when you put your cardstock in the folder...then run it through the BIG SHOT...you get a great design!

I also used a little of the WHITE FROST SHIMMER PAINT and applied it to the raised flowers.

Here is the inside of the card.

Stamp set:  Patterned Pines (Hostess Level 1 set); SOFT SUEDE ink and cardstock, WHISPER WHITE cardstock, FROST WHITE SHIMMER PAINT, sponge daubers, PETALS-A-PLENTY impressions folder.

Cold & Cuddly

Isn't this stinkin' cute?  Thanks to Kathleen for sending it!

It may be a little tough to see in the photo...but there is a window sheet used.  It is covered with little snowflakes.  These are also available in the mini catalog.

Oh Christmas Tree...

...with the PATTERNED PINES (Hostess Level 1 set)

This is SOFT SUEDE (one of the current 'in-colors") and very vanilla.  I love using just one color with either white or vanilla. 

The snowflake is stamped on the background cardstock (which is soft suede).  The polka dot ribbon is also soft suede.

The saying is from the set TEENY TINY WISHES.  It is layered used the WORD WINDOW punch, then the LARGE OVAL punch, then the SCALLOP OVAL punch.
