HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I am thankful every day for waking up and living in America!
Yes I finally did it...made the ornament and so many of us have been gazing at. Now I get to share it with you too!
I used the CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS DESIGNER PAPER (page 4 Holiday Catalog) to cut out all of my pieces. Then I used the CRUMB CAKE TULLE (page 4). I think this tulle is going to be great for wrapping presents! Love the scallop edge on it.
The center of the ornament uses one of the VINTAGE FACETED DESIGNER BUTTONS (page 176 of the big catalog).
Here are the directions that I used. Thanks to Glenda for her wit and wisdom! She is a great gal!
This is the first set that I "Had to Own" from the Holiday Catalog. It is SCENTSATIONAL SEASON on page 16. What is it about these little stamps that I love so much? Maybe they remind me of a traditional Christmas and that is why I had to have them!
You can get the stamps and the coordinating framelits as a bundle (and save 15% that way!)
The paper piercing pack and framelits that I used are on page 30 of the Holiday. Let me tell you...that Holiday catalog is packed with so many great things!
I used the Baker's Twine to make these into great tags.
The new paper trimmer is available....get it now!

Thanks so much girl!!
Isn't this a lovely card? See yesterday's post for more info/ideas about this set.
I took a few photos to make sure that you can see the beautiful detail that went into this card.

This stamp set has been around for at least 10 years...and it is still a fav of so many!
BLACK and VERY VANILLA are the main colors on this project. Just another great project we made at Stamp Club this month. Why don't you join us? It is great fun!! Let me know if you want to be on the list!
We used BLACK EMBOSSING POWDER for the tree. Remember when you do embossing to use the EMBOSSING BUDDY first on your paper (this gets rid of all the oils, static), then stamp with VERSAMARK, pour on the powder and heat up!
I cut out the shape with the APOTHECARY ACCENTS FRAMELITS. The paper that I used here is from the NEUTRALS DESIGNER PACKAGE. You get a few pieces of patterned paper in all 8 of the Neutral colors.
Take note of the VINTAGE CROCHET TRIM ribbon (p. 173) and the little safety pin. That pin is from the VINTAGE TRINKETS (p. 175). Besides the little pins you also get these super cute tiny brads that are like buttons as they have two holes in them.
I used the saying from TEENY TINY WISHES and the WORD WINDOW PUNCH to get that saying punched out.
Here is the stamp set LOVELY AS A TREE.
And I can't forget to mention the new PAPER TRIMMER is available now. It is the bomb! Great to buy it for yourself for Christmas!!

Take a look at yesterday's post to see more explanation on this card. This version I used the CHAMPAGNE GLIMMER PAPER for the big cardstock. Then I used the SPRITZER BOTTLE (p. 179) to make my own color to spray on the smaller snowflake. The snowflake started out as the SILVER GLIMMER PAPER. I mixed BAJA BREEZE and GOLD SHIMMER PAINT in the bottle along with rubbing alcohol...and then sprayed it. Cool huh?!
Lori's Hints: Be sure to use a large surface area when you spray. Sometimes they really shoot out! ha
I filled the bottle about 3/4 way up with rubbing alcohol and then add some drops of your refill. I probably used 10-12 drops for BAJA BREEZE. You can use water....but rubbing alcohol dries much quicker!
LOTS of announcements from Stampin' Up! Now you can get a cute little machine called the Texture Boutique. It works with all the embossing folders...super cute. Limited time...so act now if you want it.
Texture Boutique Bundle, Item 132700 $39.95 (a $45.85 value) Includes

These little snowmen just make me smile! This is a single stamp called FROSTY (p. 9 in the Holiday Catalog). We did this project at Stamp Club. The colors are GUMBALL GREEN and CHERRY COBBLER. If you look closely you may be able to tell that the CHERRY COBBLER piece has the POLKA DOTS all over it. We ran it through the Big Shot. The snowmen are stamped on a piece of WHISPER WHITE that we cut out with the LABELS COLLECTION FRAMELITS. We did another piece of that for the inside of the card.
I love to use DAZZLING DIAMONDS GLITTER and the 2 WAY GLUE PEN for anything that has to do with snow. Makes it super easy. I quickly drew a line along the sides of most of the snowmen and then dumped the glitter on it.
For the coloring of the snowmen I used the STAMPIN' MARKERS. Our markers have a dual tip. For this project I used the tiny end for all that fine detail in coloring. Also take notice of the PIERCED HOLES all the way around the framelit piece. Now we have two great packages of mattes that coordinate with so many of our framelits and punches. Love this!
Have a great day! Lori :) Hopefully it will be awhile before we actually see enough snow to make snowballs!

We did this at Stamp Club month. The finished result looks amazing and super hard...but when you break it down and see how to do it, it really is easy!
You basically take 3 layers of WHITE (or a light cardstock) and stamp on them. I give the dimensions below. Then take apart those three white layers...and add the color in between. The above sample I used three different colors for layering but you can also keep it all the same. Notice the CHAMPAGNE GLIMMER PAPER as the first layer. It has great sparkle. That is on page 18 of the Holiday Catalog.
This is the WATERCOLOR WINTER set (p. 14 of the Holiday catalog). Love poinsettias! On the sample above I added some RED LIQUID GLITTER to the center. On the sample below I used the 2WAY GLUE PEN and DAZZLING DIAMONDS GLITTER.
Triple Time Stamping
Cut lighter cardstock: 2x3 1/4, 3x4 1/4, 4x5 1/4
Cut darker cardstock: 2 1/4 x 3 1/2, 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 and then the one piece is the card (5 1/2 x 8 1/2)
1. Use a little bit of adhesive and put the 3 light pieces together. Stamp from the center going out. If you want a saying be sure to stamp that first.
2. Take apart the layers and now put together with the darker cardstock.
3. I like to add ribbon around the 2nd layer.
4. Optional to use dimensional for any of the layers.
Here is the stamp set and the CHAMPAGNE GLIMMER PAPER.
Not much time left for the October Special. Get the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle at a special deal. Great for all those Christmas projects!
I know it is still September (almost October) but some of you have been asking for some Christmas ideas.
This combination is proving to be a winning idea. Here we have the ORNAMENT KEEPSAKES stamp set (p. 3 in the HOLIDAY CATALOG) combined with the HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS FRAMELITS (also p. 3). If you buy both products you get 15% discount. They do go hand in hand so well!
You can stamp the ornaments and then run them through the big shot. My hint for using any of the framelits...if you can't keep them straight on your cutting plates...be sure that your cutting plates are somewhat flat and not all curved. After a while it is easier just to buy new ones and start with the nice flat ones! But, another hint is to use a sticky note and tape it over the framelit in its place. That will hold it so nothing moves.
Colors are GUMBALL GREEN (a new in-color) and CHERRY COBBLER. The GUMBALL GREEN ribbon running across the center of the card is a new ribbon that has the stitched look to it.
I think I may have said that a certain set may be my new favorite...but this one is really up there with my FAVS! The set is SCENTSATIONAL SEASON found on page 16 of the HOLIDAY catalog.
The stamps are darling and they have a matching FRAMELIT set called the HOLIDAY COLLECTION that makes them even more desireable!! Plus, this is a bundle bonus...as you can get both items as the SCENTSATIONAL SEASON BUNDLE and save 15%.
Did I mention that there is also new SCENTED embossing powder? It comes in SUGAR & SPICE or PEPPERMINT STICKS. Can't you just smell it now?
Really aren't these just the favorite stamps you have seen so far??? Below I have the stamps and the framelits pictured. They are the same size so they do match up...my photo just doesn't show it that way!
