This PAPER DOILY SIZZLIT (p. 7 of Occasions Mini) is really the bomb! 

There are lots of new products used on this card.  The PAPER DOILY SIZZLIT, the FRAMELITS called LABELS COLLECTION, the WHITE WAFFLE PAPER, the PLEATED RIBBON.

The saying is from the stamp set called FULL OF LIFE.  In order to get the two colors on the saying, use the markers to color on the rubber stamp...then "huff" on it to re-moisten the ink before you stamp on your cardstock.  Also notice the PEARLS used.   Thanks to Kersten Mischka for making this card.

Christmas by Julie

Our stamping group, ALL SCHUCH UP, got together last week for some demonstrator fun.  It is always great to see one another and see what everyone has been up to for projects.  Here are some of the ideas that Julie brought to share.  They are awesome!

This card uses the PETALS A PLENTY EMBOSSING FOLDER and that is really the main part of the card.  But look what she does....add the tiny detail with the STAMPIN' UP MARKERS.  See those tiny dots?  Use the fine tip of the marker.  She used the Daffodil Delight and Garden Green for colors.

Another detail to point out...the rounded corners on the WHISPER WHITE layer.  This is a great Christmas card.  :)

Another sample from Julie...this one with some beautiful water coloring.  Take a stamp that is an outline image and stamp it (use the STAZ ON INK PAD for best results and no bleeding).  Use your BLENDER PEN and the ink from the cover of the INK PADS to color in the image.  Beautiful!

The LACE BORDER PUNCH along the left side is really something to check out!  Our narrow 1/8" ribbon fits just perfectly to weave in and out of this punch.  Add the PEARLS and you have one awesome card!

Simple Classic Christmas Card

There is something to using color on color (tone on tone).  It is a crisp, classic look.

This is BAJA BREEZE and VERY VANILLA.  There are 2 layers of the BAJA BREEZE...take a close look.  The card base is a BAJA BREEZE and then there is a piece that measures 4" x 5 1/4" and run through the BIG SHOT with the SNOW BURST EMBOSSING FOLDER. 

Take a piece of VERY VANILLA VELVET STITCHED RIBBON and cut the end at an angle.  (Love the RIBBON SCISSORS whenever I cut my ribbon).....Think Christmas Gift!!  The sentiment is from a Hostess Set.  You can get that set when you have your own party.

Notice the little sparkle above and below the sentiment.  That is the DAZZLING DIAMONDS GLITTER.  Thanks to Rachel Yurkanin for this great sample!

Always Thankful

Seeing this wheat makes me think of my Dad.  He loved planting, the growing season, driving out in the country to look at the fields, the harvesting....he loved it all!

This card is made with the set called ALWAYS THANKFUL.  Mom and Dad - I am always thankful for you!

The colors are RIVER ROCK, SOFT SUEDE, MORE MUSTARD, GARDEN GREEN.  The ribbon is the SEAM BINDING RIBBON in VERY VANILLA.  It is really a thin ribbon and nice to work with.

 
The tearing technique is used on a couple spots for this card.  Thanks to Laura Harvey for this sample. 

Do you see the stripes in the background?  That is done with the STRIPES EMBOSSING FOLDER and the BIG SHOT.  You can get your own BIG SHOT for FREE this month by signing up to be a demonstrator.

How Many Days Til Halloween?

The countdown is on. There are always lots of fun ideas for Halloween treats.  Here is a treat for you:

 
This card features the stamp called HAUNTED FOREST.  It is sold as a single stamp (we call that A la Carte).  It is on page 43 of the HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG.  It also features the DESIGNER PAPER called PICK YOUR POISON.  That is on page 10.  If you don't have your own copy of the HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG be sure to let me know.

The stamp is embossed with BLACK EMBOSSING POWDER and then colored in with markers.  Take a lookat the MOON....that is a SPONGE DAUBER and rubbed on the DAFFODIL DELIGHT ink pad.  This awesome card was made by Susie Wood. 

The big circles are DIES used with the BIG SHOT.  Did you know you can get a FREE BIG SHOT this month by signing up with Stampin' Up!  How cool is that?  And if you already own it...then you can pick out $100 worth of product instead.

Halloween Fun Project

Looking for a neat treat box for any occasion?  This is one we did at stamp club.  It was one of the favorite projects we did this month.  Thanks to Kelly Acheson for sharing her idea!

 

We used the BOX #2 XL DIE for the bottom part of the project.  The box actually makes a lid, but we didn't use that part of it.  I measured a 3" x 12" piece of BLACK CARDSTOCK and then scored it at 5 3/8" and 6 5/8" using the NEW SIMPLY SCORED TOOL.  That is the bomb!  It has these little markers on it that help you make your project simple!

 

The designer paper on all of these photos is from the FRIGHTFUL SIGHT pack.  Need some great Halloween paper.....this is the place to get it.  Love the colors used in this pack:  CHERRY COBBLER, CAJUN CRAZE, OLD OLIVE, BASIC BLACK, BASIC GRAY, WHISPER WHITE.  Take a look at the black scrunched up pieces inside the box.  Can you guess what that is?  I made my own "stuffing!"  Take some scraps of black cardstock and run it through the CRIMPER.  Then cut thin strips with the TABLE TOP PAPER CUTTER (my all-time fav paper cutter!)  Scrunch it up in your hand and throw it in the box.  You can now always coordinate your projects!

 

We added a fun embellishment on the front of each project.  Using the coordinating punches makes it go together quickly.  We used the 1 1/4" CIRCLE PUNCH, 1 3/8" CIRCLE PUNCH, 1 3/4" SCALLOP CIRCLE PUNCH.  See how they all layer so well together? 

 

No matter what color combination you use from this pack...it all works together for a FRIGHTFUL SIGHT!

This is a fun idea for Halloween...but think of all the options to make these for WEDDINGS, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, any gathering!  They would make a really neat placecard at your next special dinner.

Happy Birthday Fun Card

 
Isn't this a fun and cheerful card?  It is one of those cards that just makes me smile.  I like the colors in it...bright and cheerful!  Thanks to Ginny Hathaway for sending in this card to a card swap.

The set is called TAGTASTIC.  It is a hostess set.  The fun paper is from the designer paper called JUST ADD CAKE.  Take note of the little RHINESTONES used for detail.

 
And a very HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY to my sister Vicky TODAY!  Love you!!!

Vintage Looking Card

 
 

Love this look..............it is quick to make and it looks great!  I used the First Edition Designer Paper for a quick background layer.  This package of paper can be used in so many ways.  I tore the bottom right corner to make room for the RHINESTONES.  The REAL RED flower is made with the FUN FLOWERS DIE.  Not sure if you noticed...but I sponged REAL RED on the very edges on the flowers.  I like the texture that it gives.

Precious Butterflies

I do love butterflies...can't get enough of them!  This is a fun card made by Pam Peterson.  She is in my group, the ALL SCHUCH UP Stampers.  :)

 
The stamp set is PRECIOUS BUTTERFLIES.  Pam stamped all over the VERY VANILLA cardstock using POOL PARTY ink, LUCKY LIMEADE ink and WISTERIA WONDER ink.  Then take the cardstock and run it through the BIG SHOT with the SQUARE LATTICE embossing folder.  What a great texture it gives!

Add the tiny butterfly on the sentiment for just the right tough.  That butterfly is from the BEAUTIFUL WINGS embosslit.
