HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I am thankful every day for waking up and living in America!
Yes I finally did it...made the ornament and so many of us have been gazing at. Now I get to share it with you too!
I used the CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS DESIGNER PAPER (page 4 Holiday Catalog) to cut out all of my pieces. Then I used the CRUMB CAKE TULLE (page 4). I think this tulle is going to be great for wrapping presents! Love the scallop edge on it.
The center of the ornament uses one of the VINTAGE FACETED DESIGNER BUTTONS (page 176 of the big catalog).
Here are the directions that I used. Thanks to Glenda for her wit and wisdom! She is a great gal!
This is the first set that I "Had to Own" from the Holiday Catalog. It is SCENTSATIONAL SEASON on page 16. What is it about these little stamps that I love so much? Maybe they remind me of a traditional Christmas and that is why I had to have them!
You can get the stamps and the coordinating framelits as a bundle (and save 15% that way!)
The paper piercing pack and framelits that I used are on page 30 of the Holiday. Let me tell you...that Holiday catalog is packed with so many great things!
I used the Baker's Twine to make these into great tags.
The new paper trimmer is available....get it now!
We are having our big sale BEFORE Black Friday! The ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA started Monday, November 19th and goes til November 28th. Check out the deals. Many items discounted up to 50%.
The last two posts have been about this same set. It is worthy of three posts in a row! I saw a card that uses this saying as a Christmas card and just loved it. This stamp is from the JUST BELIEVE set (p. 77). There are so many clever people out there that come up with multiple ways to use the same stamps. I am tahnkful for that...so then I can just copy the ideas.
The Embossing Folder that I used here is called LACY BROCADE. It is on page 6 of the Holiday Catalog. Yummy don't you think??
You can now get the new TEXTURE BOUTIQUE MACHINE to do all of your embossing like this card!
And try out the new TALKING TAGS!

This stamp set has been around for at least 10 years...and it is still a fav of so many!
BLACK and VERY VANILLA are the main colors on this project. Just another great project we made at Stamp Club this month. Why don't you join us? It is great fun!! Let me know if you want to be on the list!
We used BLACK EMBOSSING POWDER for the tree. Remember when you do embossing to use the EMBOSSING BUDDY first on your paper (this gets rid of all the oils, static), then stamp with VERSAMARK, pour on the powder and heat up!
I cut out the shape with the APOTHECARY ACCENTS FRAMELITS. The paper that I used here is from the NEUTRALS DESIGNER PACKAGE. You get a few pieces of patterned paper in all 8 of the Neutral colors.
Take note of the VINTAGE CROCHET TRIM ribbon (p. 173) and the little safety pin. That pin is from the VINTAGE TRINKETS (p. 175). Besides the little pins you also get these super cute tiny brads that are like buttons as they have two holes in them.
I used the saying from TEENY TINY WISHES and the WORD WINDOW PUNCH to get that saying punched out.
Here is the stamp set LOVELY AS A TREE.
And I can't forget to mention the new PAPER TRIMMER is available now. It is the bomb! Great to buy it for yourself for Christmas!!

I will post more tomorrow about this tree!
We are having our big sale BEFORE Black Friday! The ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA starts on Monday, November 19th and goes til November 28th. MONDAY ONLY the Big Shot, Doctor's bag (to store the Big Shot) and the Diagonal Scoring Plate are 20% off. SHOP on Monday!
Eventually we will get snow. We live in Iowa so we know it is coming!
Here is a project that we did at our Stamp Club this month.
The colors are SOFT SUEDE, BAJA BREEZE and WHISPER WHITE. What is all the silver sparkle stuff? That is the SILVER GLIMMER PAPER. It comes in a package of two 12 x 12 sheets. It is thicker than cardstock. The glimmer is solid and sticks to it...so it is not coming off on everything like some glitter does.
We cut out the two biggest snowflakes with the SNOW FLURRY DIE (p. 14 of the Holiday) and the Big Shot. The Baja Breeze piece has all the paper piercing around the edges of it. I used the handy dandy templates to do that...really makes it slick to keep them even.
The white layer has the FANCY FAN EMBOSSING FOLDER texture on it. And then you can see the little piece of SILVER GLIMMER peeking out as a border. I used the SCALLOP EDGE PUNCH to do that.
Tomorrow I will post another version of this card with some fun added to it...
These little snowmen just make me smile! This is a single stamp called FROSTY (p. 9 in the Holiday Catalog). We did this project at Stamp Club. The colors are GUMBALL GREEN and CHERRY COBBLER. If you look closely you may be able to tell that the CHERRY COBBLER piece has the POLKA DOTS all over it. We ran it through the Big Shot. The snowmen are stamped on a piece of WHISPER WHITE that we cut out with the LABELS COLLECTION FRAMELITS. We did another piece of that for the inside of the card.
I love to use DAZZLING DIAMONDS GLITTER and the 2 WAY GLUE PEN for anything that has to do with snow. Makes it super easy. I quickly drew a line along the sides of most of the snowmen and then dumped the glitter on it.
For the coloring of the snowmen I used the STAMPIN' MARKERS. Our markers have a dual tip. For this project I used the tiny end for all that fine detail in coloring. Also take notice of the PIERCED HOLES all the way around the framelit piece. Now we have two great packages of mattes that coordinate with so many of our framelits and punches. Love this!
Have a great day! Lori :) Hopefully it will be awhile before we actually see enough snow to make snowballs!
I know it is still September (almost October) but some of you have been asking for some Christmas ideas.
This combination is proving to be a winning idea. Here we have the ORNAMENT KEEPSAKES stamp set (p. 3 in the HOLIDAY CATALOG) combined with the HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS FRAMELITS (also p. 3). If you buy both products you get 15% discount. They do go hand in hand so well!
You can stamp the ornaments and then run them through the big shot. My hint for using any of the framelits...if you can't keep them straight on your cutting plates...be sure that your cutting plates are somewhat flat and not all curved. After a while it is easier just to buy new ones and start with the nice flat ones! But, another hint is to use a sticky note and tape it over the framelit in its place. That will hold it so nothing moves.
Colors are GUMBALL GREEN (a new in-color) and CHERRY COBBLER. The GUMBALL GREEN ribbon running across the center of the card is a new ribbon that has the stitched look to it.
Sad to think about all the apple orchards that are not producing because of our weather....but we can still have a visual of it!
I used the WOODGRAIN EMBOSSING FOLDER on the REAL RED card for the base. Then the GINGHAM designer paper just shouts apple orchard to me! That paper is from the ORCHARD HARVEST package in the Holiday Catalog.
The apple stamps are from the PERFECTLY PRESERVED stamp set that also has a coordinating FRAMELITS set so everything can be cut out for you.
I used the LABELS COLLECTION FRAMELITS to help add a little piece to add a focal point. I also love the SCALLOP EDGE and all the PIERCING that goes along with it.
This color combination is just plain yummy to me! The work is all done for you as far as picking out colors. I just used the colors that were in the package of ORCHARD HARVEST PAPER. I have said it before...just use the inspiration that you see in the catalog and the work of picking out the colors is already done!
This is the PERFECTLY PRESERVED BUNDLE...the stamp set and the framelits. If you buy both items at once you save 15%! Love a deal!
Once again I point out the ends of the paper strips...cut the ends off at an angle and this is such a hot trend right now! Think of all those scraps that you have in your inventory. You could make up a bunch of base cards by just putting the back layers together.
I do love this jar stamp. There are lots of ideas to fill it with. I cut out all the pieces using the BIG SHOT and the FRAMELITS. It really does a great job of getting your edges crisp!
The JUST FOR YOU stamp is from the ITTY BITTY BANNERS which also has a coordinating set of FRAMELITS to make your project easier! Tie a little LINEN THREAD around the jar and you have a great looking project!
Here is my salsa batch from the weekend...whoohoo! So happy to have all this done. The boys say that I make "the best" salsa. Of course that warms my heart!!
Here is the super project that we made in card class. Everyone loved this!! I got my inspiration from the Holiday Catalog (p. 29).
The colors are great for this time of year. I used CAJUN CRAZE and OLD OLIVE. I cut out the big circle with the 3 1/2" Circle Die with the BIG SHOT. You can do 3-4 pieces of cardstock at a time. There isn't a good circle pattern to follow to poke all of those holes...but I just eyed it.
The stamp set PERFECTLY PRESERVED is really hot right now! I comes with the jar and all kinds of fun ideas to fill it up. The great thing is that the stamp set has a coordinating FRAMELITS package that works great with it. PLUS, there it is offered as a BUNDLE price. If you buy both the stamp set and the framelits you save 15%.
The Happy Birthday is from the ITTY BITTY BANNERS stamp set which also has a coordinating framelits package. They really make everything easy with all of this coordination!
When I put the pieces together I did use STAMPIN' DIMENSIONALS for some of them so you can see the pieces lift up.
Here is the stamp set and the framelits:
Have a great day! Maybe you can do some canning this week. Lori :)
