It's Raining Flowers

This was one of our stamp club projects.  The stamp set is RAINING FLOWERS (p. 111 of the big book).  There are 13 stamps in the set and it is available in wood or clear.  I only used one stamp on the front of the card...but then I added the bling (RHINESTONES) to it.  :)

The colors for this project are MELON MAMBO and TANGERINE TANGO.  It was everyone's choice if they wanted to stick to a monochrome card or mix it up a bit.

I punched a few circles to throw behind the flower piece to add a different look.

Now take notice of all those lines going on the white background piece.  I did that with the SIMPLY SCORED TOOL and the DIAGONAL PLATE.  If you want something stamped on your project (like the "Happy Birthday" then stamp that first.  Then draw the lines on the BACK side of the white paper.  I did a diagonal line every 1 inch...then turn the paper 45 degrees and draw the diagonal lines to get the "diamond" look.

It's All About The Colors!

I just can't say enough about our beautiful colors...

These are the five IN COLORS for 2011-2013.  They will be available until May 2013...but there are 5 colors that are leaving May 31, 2012.  Those are PEACH PARFAIT, POPPY PARADE, PEAR PIZZAZZ, BLUSHING BRIDE and CONCORD CRUSH.

Mother's Day Project

We did this for our monthly stamp club...and it was a hit!

PACIFIC POINT and DAFFODIL DELIGHT are the featured colors.  First we started with the MANHATTAN FLOWER EMBOSSING FOLDER for that big textured flower.  Then we stamped on a piece of WHISPER WHITE with the PACIFIC POINT INK.  The stamp set is called ELEMENTS OF STYLE (page 134 of the big book).  We used a piece of CRUMB CAKE to layer it and also take note at the top of that piece...there is a tiny bit of DAFFODIL DELIGHT peeking out.  We punched the DOTTED SCALLOP RIBBON BORDER and used that piece behind the CRUMB CAKE.

The ribbon is the TAFFETA DADDOFIL DELIGHT.  The LABELS FRAMELITS DIES were used for the sentiment and the piece behind it.  Love that LABELS!  They cut out super slick with the BIG SHOT.

Then we also added a button and some twine for that little extra touch.

More Apothecary Art

I blogged about this set a couple of days ago and need to say more.  Thanks to Alexis for sending me this beauty.  It uses the paper that was a FREEBIE item during SALE-A-BRATION.  The colors are so fun together.  I never would have put these colors together...but that is the beauty of using the artwork that they have already designed for us!  Don't think too hard...use what they have done.

Take a look at the VINTAGE BRAD and the CROCHET RIBBON used on this project.  Really makes it look great.  

Here is one more project made by Alexis.  This one uses the soft colors of SO SAFFRON and CERTAINLY CELERY.  Plus it has an added touch with the EDGELITS BORDER used at the bottom.  Wow - this is a great card!

The coloring on this project is done with MARKERS.  The best part about the markers is that they are two-sided.  You have a fat tip and a skinny tip...really makes your projects easy to do.

Bordering on Romance

Another set that is in the MINI CATALOG right now is BORDERING ON ROMANCE (p. 11)

The colors are SO SAFFRON and WISTERIA WONDER.  The background texture is made with the VINTAGE WALLPAPER EMBOSSING FOLDER.  Love the white on white look!  The stamp set has 5 stamps in it.  The coloring is done with the MARKERS.

How are your flowers looking in your yard?  I love this time of year when the new growth is peeking through the dirt.  I really do love digging in the dirt (and always amazed at how my body aches after working in the yard!!!)

Apothecary Art & Retired Accessories List

So I bought the set right when it came out and it sat on my table...just staring at me.  I kept thinking I need to play with it and it just sat there.  Well FINALLY I played with it and love the set.  It is APOTHECARY ART and is on p. 24-5 of the OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG.  (This mini ends at the end of April).

One project I made was to make an empty jar look pretty.  Fill up the jar with whatever and give away! This APOTHECARY ART set works great with the LABELS FRAMELITS (p. 6).  I love it when things coordinate!  The designer paper going around the jar is from ATTIC BOUTIQUE.

I stamped with the BLACK STAZ-ON INK PAD and then colored in with the MARKERS.  I do not color with an exact "stay in the line" technique.  I pounce and blot and make it look more "Monet!"

The flower punch is made from the BOHO BLOSSOM punch.  Just layer it all on top of one another.

Here is another stamp from the same set...this time using a bigger framelit from the LABELS COLLECTION.  It works slick to cut out this design.  

Once again I stamped with the BLACK STAZ-ON INK PAD and then colored with the markers.  I used PEAR PIZZAZZ and PINK PIROUETTE for the colors on this project.  The punch at the very left and right is the DOILY TRIPLE LAYER PUNCH.  Plus I used a piece of PLEATED SATIN RIBBON.

One thing with this stamp set is the neat place for the "banner" where I did the "Happy Birthday." Banners are a popular thing right now in the paper crafting world.

Here is a bright, fun card...using TANGERINE TANGO and LUCKY LIMEADE.  Use the PENNANT PUNCH to make the card super quick.  The CELEBRATE sentiment is stamped in black and then colored in with the markers.  It all coordinates!

Owls are so fine!

Do you just love these owls?  The OWL PUNCH makes it all possible.  I can't say it enough....but our punches are the best!  Right now there are a BUNCH of old style punches (with the black handle) on the clearance rack.  Check it out!!!

The other punches used are the WORD WINDOW and the MODERN LABEL.  I think they are two of the most used punches in my inventory!
