Card Boxes ROCK!

In the Fall Holiday Catalog they had these card boxes for sale.  They are a neat WHITE BOX that you can decorate (or not)....and are the perfect size for filling with handmade cards.  I did a bunch of these for Christmas gifts and they were a hit.  I sure hope they bring them back (hint to Stampin' Up!)

I covered the lids with the SPICE CAKE designer paper (which is also discontinued).  Lesson for all here:  if you love a product, buy it while you can!  I cut out different shapes of flowers with a variety of paper from the same pack.  

Giving cards as gifts is one of my favorite gifts.

Potpourri of Stamping

Some random stamping samples for you to enjoy...

Team member, Ruth Anne Lilley, made this beauty.  A fun technique to point out...look at the saying.  She used the MODEARN LABEL PUNCH for the saying.  Then punch 2 pieces in the ELEGANT EGGPLANT to put behind it. 

Ruth Anne also made this one.  I love the way the DOTTED SCALLOP RIBBON BORDER PUNCH is used on this card.  It is the CHERRY COBBLER piece that goes behind the saying piece.

This is made by one of my team members............but I did not keep very good notes.  Sorry!  Notice the sponging done of the outside edges.

Elementary Elegance FREE Product

Here is another sample using a FREE stamp set. The set has 7 stamps in it (5 are images and 2 are sayings).  Thanks to Barb Mullikin for making this sample. 

POOL PARTY and CALYPSO CORAL are the 2 main colors used here.  The fun thing about the big frame stamp....is that there is a CURLY LABEL PUNCH that coordinates with it.  It just makes everything easier to work with when things coordinate.

RUFFLED RIBBON is used across the card and a very tiny piece of the 1/8" Organdy Ribbon (which is another FREE item).  The designer paper is called EVERY ENCHANTMENT (also FREE).  The very bottom edge of the card uses the ADORNING ACCENTS EDGELITS (p. 7 of the Occasions Mini).

Paper Doily Project

This PAPER DOILY SIZZLIT (p. 7 of Occasions Mini) is really the bomb! 

There are lots of new products used on this card.  The PAPER DOILY SIZZLIT, the FRAMELITS called LABELS COLLECTION, the WHITE WAFFLE PAPER, the PLEATED RIBBON.

The saying is from the stamp set called FULL OF LIFE.  In order to get the two colors on the saying, use the markers to color on the rubber stamp...then "huff" on it to re-moisten the ink before you stamp on your cardstock.  Also notice the PEARLS used.   Thanks to Kersten Mischka for making this card.

Fresh Vintage FREE Stamp Set

Sale-a-Bration is here...and that means FREE product from Stampin' Up! 

This card uses the new set called FRESH VINTAGE.  It is one of the choices for FREE product during Sale-a-bration.  There are 5 stamps in the set.  Carla Bosselaar made this project - thank you!  In order to get all the color on the floral stamp, you need to use your markers.  Color on the stamp itself and then "huff" on the stamp to re-moisten the ink...then stamp on your cardstock.

Notice the sponging technique used on the edges of the circle.  The paper in the background is from a pack of paper that you can also get for FREE.  The paper pack is called EVERYDAY ENCHANTMENT.  It features these colors:  LUCKY LIMEADE, POOL PARTY, CALYPSO CORAL, PEACH PARFAIT, POPPY PARADE, VERY VANILLA AND SOFT SUEDE.

Check out the new PLEATED RIBBON used on this card...love that stuff!  It is a great look without having to take the time to fuss with it.  The saying is from the TEENY TINY WISHES STAMP SET,

Mixed Bunch Project

Here is a bright , colorful card to make your day.  It used a stamp from the MIXED BUNCH stamp set (p. 17 Occasions Mini) and the FLIRTATIOUS SPECIALTY PAPER (p. 183 big book).

When you use designer paper for the background, it makes the rest of the card go together so quickly.  The card base is MELON MAMBO,  The "thank you" is from CURLY CUTE.  That set has a great variety of sayings.  Take a closeup look at the flower.  There is a punch that matches the flower.  The punch is called BLOSSOM (p. 17 Occasions Mini).  In the middle of the flower is a button with a tiny piece of BASER"S TWINE.

Here Comes The Bride...

This is the LOVE & LAUGHTER stamp set (p. 29 of the new MINI).  Thanks to Francie Freeburg for creating this project.  It features the POLKA DOTS EMBOSSING FOLDER on the background, the new FRAMELITS LABELS COLLECTION (to make that fancy shape), and the WHITE WAFFLE PAPER (at the hem of the dress).

All the stamped images are EMBOSSED with what else but SILVER EMBOSSING POWDER.

There are 8 stamps in the set.
