The boys finally got a chance to play outside this week. It has been too cold and too windy to stay outside for a long time. Now they have a tunnel... (Thanks to Dad!)

My honey was born on LEAP DAY...so this year we will celebrate on Sunday, Feb 28th. Happy Birthday to my Love!
Here is a fun way to make a card if you want it to be able to stand up on your countertop, dresser, shelf, etc. I can see this used in a variety of ways. Think about attaching a mini calendar to it and using it all year long.
What do you think of the butterflies? They are made with the BEAUTIFUL WINGS EMBOSSLITS DIE.

For all of these samples, I used the designer paper called SHADES OF SPRING. The colors in the paper are Orchid Opulence, Certainly celery, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink.

I have been playing with more fabric to see what I can create...
This fabric is polyester. It has pink flowers throughout the white fabric. This is made using the Daisies #2 Die and the BIG SHOT. I used a pink brad in the center. To get it to look all scrunched up....you need to heat it up with the heat tool. See a video here.
This flower is made with the SCALLOP CIRCLE #2 die and the BIG SHOT. This fabric is very special to my friend, Ruth. It is her mother's favorite skirt. What a great keepsake!!!
I add a felt circle on the back of the flower with either a pink back or an alligator clip.

These fabric flowers are just so much fun! I need to find some of those cute crocheted baby headbands....and add the flower to them. Wouldn't that be a great gift? I used the Daisies #2 die to cut the fabric...you can do 8 layers at a time!

This project uses the MATCHBOX DIE for the BIG SHOT. It cuts out the top piece and the bottom piece to form the matchbox. Plus it also cuts out 3 tags....the "love" is stamped on one of the tags. Thank you to Alexis for making this project!!
A different way to finish this box....instead of taping the top piece together to make a slider piece...you can attach it so that it is a lid to the box. Check it out!
