This one is done with the IRIS FOLDING technique.

Here is the TOP NOTE DIE.  Use this with the BIG SHOT.

This card uses the SCALLOP CIRCLE #2 Die for the BIG SHOT.

And one more idea with the TOP NOTE DIE.

The feet are with the scallop square punch, The nose is the oval punch, The arms are the oval punch.

A Bookmark For All

I used the FILIGREE BRADS to embellish these bookmarks.  Also used chipboard for the scallop square piece...that gives it a nice strong feel to it.

You see how long the ribbon is?  That way the ribbon lies in the book and the ends hang out from the top and bottom of the book.

The stamp set is EASTERN BLOOMS

Happy Thanksgiving!

 
I am very thankful to have a wonderful life filled with family and friends.  Happy Thanksgiving to you all.  I do count my blessings every day.

This project is one of the DECOR ELEMENTS that are available.  It comes in chocolate or black and also in 2 sizes.  This is the 7 5/8" x 12" size.  I picked up a shadow box at Michael's.

I change the background paper and the loose items in it from season to season.  And also the ribbon!  It sits on my easel all year round!!!

To Bead or Not To Bead...

What a fun way to embellish a pen...

Have you seen these pens before?  They make a fun gift.

You need to use a perfectly round pen for best results.  I put STICKY STRIP on the pen and then cover it with a scrap of designer paper.  It is a great way to use up lots of scraps.  Then you need another complete layer of STICKY STRIP.  You really have to cover the entire pen where you put the paper.

To make it really easy to do this....we have STICKY PAGES that come in 12" x 12" (#114300).  That allows you to cut the STICKY STRIP to the exact size that you need to get the coverage you need.

Once you have the STICKY STRIP on, then roll it in the microbeads (#104266).  Once you are done with the beads I like to rub/roll it between my hands really fast.  That helps seal the beads in place.

1 package of the MICROBEADS will do about 12 pens.

Magnetic Notepad and Pen Set

This is a quick gift idea that your kids can help with.  I get the 5x7 notepads and have the office supply store cut them in half...so you get 2 notepads.

Put some cardstock on the back on them.  Figure out where you need to score your lines to fit the top of it.  It seems like every notepad I buy is a little different...so I am not going to give exact measurements.  Use a piece of scrap paper for trial and error!

Stamp a little penguin for your embellishment.  I put him on the top with a STAMPIN' DIMENSIONAL.  I like to have him stick out!

I filled a clear pen with red GLITTER! and also added a magnet on the back of the notepad.

Here is a close up of the penguin.  I used the colored pencils to give him some color.

Another version with BASHFUL BLUE and the WHITE GLITTER.

So now you have a project idea for the weekend :)

November Stamp Club

What a great time again at stamp club.  Want to join the fun?  We meet once a month...but we do skip a few months too.

Stamp set is A WISH FOR PEACE.  Stamped the trees/church using CHOCOLATE CHIP, then used the PASTELS to add a little color.  Of course...had to put glitter on the whole thing!

The dove is also from the same set and stamped in CHOCOLATE CHIP.  Cut that little dove out with the PAPER SNIPS.  If you don't have a good little scissors.....then you need these!  They are $9.95 (Right, Renee?)

The card itself is SAGE SHADOW, the layer under the trees is CERTAINLY CELERY.

For the ribbon, use the HORIZONTAL SLOT to punch a hole on the edge of the card.  Then you have ribbon without using a whole bunch.

I love gift bags......who is with me?  We were being "green" long before there was a name for it!!!

Take some designer paper (MERRY MOMENTS used here) and add it to your basic bag...really dresses it up.  We also used the SCALLOP EDGE PUNCH to add the red scallop look at the bottom and top of that ornament paper.

There is a wheel used at the bottom of the bag...TRIM A TREE...rolled in REAL RED.

The tag is from DELIGHTFUL DECORATIONS.  We used markers to color on that to get 2 colors (close to cocoa and real red). 

Who wouldn't love getting a gift in this packaging???

These FRESH CUTS notecards are the bomb!  Or that is what so many stamp club members said when they were using them.  They are packaged 15 notecards/envelopes in a package...and they make a great looking card look like you really spent a ton of time on it!

The stamp set used here is called FRESH CUTS too!  I love how Stampin' Up! coordinates so many things.  We used OLD OLIVE and APRICOT APPEAL for the colors.  The 5-PETAL FLOWER PUNCH is a perfect match for this project.  We added some extra bling by using a felt flower from FLOWER FUSHION and a BRAD from the FIRE CIRCLE BRADS.

There are 2 other packages of these "cut-out" note cards in the big catalog.  They are on page 168...called ELEGANT and PENDANT.
