Stamp Room Organization

Everyone has dreams, right?  I can honestly say that my stamping room is a dream come true!  I love the area...it works great for me!  I spent a little time searching for some of the "perfect" setups and kept a notebook of ideas.  Here are some of my favorite features about my stamping area.

 

My wall of punches is efficient!  Before I had these racks, I stored the punches in drawers.  Now the punches are super easy to see and grab what you need.  I started with the towel bars from IKEA, but decided I needed a longer bar.  My DH bought the metal from our local Bomgaar's store and bent them, painted them, then drilled holes so they would stay on the wall!  Thanks Tom!

 

This is a 12 foot wall of countertop and 3 base cabinets.  I can sit at the counter when it is just me working.  It works as a great station when I have a class...people can stand too!

Ribbon Storage - yeah!  This is plastic rain gutter (the 5-sided style).  Love this!!!

More Samples from DEMO Meeting

As promised...here are more samples from the last Demonstrator meeting.  We always have a great time and lots of laughs.  One of my favorite things about our time together is how we share tips about Stampin' Up! products and then life tips too!  A few recipes seem to get swapped back and forth at our meetings too. 

 

Love this yellow daisy card! 

Supplies: Flower Daisies #2 die (p. 196) used with Summer Sun cardstock, Texturz Plates #1 (p. 203) used on Kraft Brown cardstock and then sponged a little to show more color, 1" chocolate chip double-stitched ribbon (p. 178), the card base is Chocolate Chip cardstock. 

Yummy!!!

 

Great summer colors don't you think?

Supplies:  Pretties Kit flower and half-pearl (p. 175); I did use the pastels (chalks) to put a little color on the fabric flower; A Walk In The Park designer paper (in the mini occasions catalog); Scallop Edge punch (p. 185); a tiny piece of BASIC GREY cardstock along the scallop edge; the stamp set is WONDERFUL FAVORITES (p. 133)

 

This stamp set has been super popular!  Do you think it will still be in the new book???  I hope so!

Supplies:  Thoughts & Prayers stamp set (p. 58); colors are Baja Breeze, Kraft Brown and Chocolate Chip; Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper (the stripes) on p. 158; Eyelet Border punch (p. 185); 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon (p. 179); Scallop Oval Punch from the mini occasions catalog; Large Oval punch (p. 184).

If you like this card.....Baja Breeze is one of the colors that will be leaving on July 1st.  if you want to get any of the supplies...get them now!  I am sure that the Parisian Breeze Specialty paper will be leaving too...as it uses the Baja Breeze color.

Are You Smarter Than The Stampin' Up! Team???

   

Many people have been asking me about the new Stampin' Up! catalog coming on July 1^st and the retired list of our current products. I don't get to see the "list" until June 1^st….and that is when you can see it too. So…let's have a contest. The RETIRED LIST is now going to be called the LAST CHANCE LIST.

Do you want to quilt?

What a great way to show the craft of quilting....but it is all done with paper!  Thanks to Wendy Jensen for sharing these great ideas.

To make these "quilts" you will need to punch a bunch of squares.  I used the 1 1/4" punch.  If you are punching the designer paper, you can do more than one at a time.  I used the Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive and smeared it all over a piece of white cardstock.  Then line up lots of the squares.  You need to cover a large enough piece so that it will work with the TOPNOTE die.  HINT:  I let the squares dry long enough so that the glue wasn't squishing out of the paper! 

Then put your cardstock through the BIG SHOT.  The butterfly is also made by the Big Shot.  Not sure if you can tell from the photos, but the layered piece behind the quilt is textured with the Big Shot Textured Plates.

Z FOLD CARD IDEA

Are you looking for a new card pattern idea?  This is a great easy way to make a card take on a new look.

 

 

Take a normal piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock and cut it in half the long way.  Now you have 2 card pieces.  Fold that long piece in half....then fold just a piece of it back.  That will give you the look of the letter Z. 

 

Supplies I used:

Good Friend stamp set

Good Morning Sunshine designer paper

punches:  1 1/4" circle, 1 3/8" circle, scallop circle, scallop edge

ink pads:  Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss

Window Sheet Fun

These printed window sheets are in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I did a little playing with them and this is what I came up with.  You do need to attach them in a creative way.  If you use adhesive...it will show.  Just be sure to cover it with a piece of cardstock, embellishment, etc.  I found the quickest way to attach them is with the brads.  Have fun!

 

Love the saying....did that with RUB-ONS.

 

I you look closely at the photos...you may see my hands and camera in the reflection of the window sheet.  That was tricky :)

 

This polka dot sheet comes with all the white dots on it.  I stamped the flowers with the STAZ-ON ink.

 

Here I used flowers from the PRETTIES KIT and attached them with clear crystal brads.

The window sheets are in a pack of 2 sheets.  You get 2 of each of the 4 designs for $5.95.
